The critters of this powerful territory are fighting to end human slavery, but only so they have more life force to power their trade ships.

The great madness first took hold here, and few dare to live in this lonely territory unless it provides a strategic opportunity.
About
the game
Contingency is an online multiplayer turn based strategy game. Players direct their armies to attack, defend or assist adjacent territories on a 3D map of future earth.
Players may select to participate in short 20 minute battles against other players and computer players. Contingency is currently playable on computers that support Flash 10, but we do have plans for a mobile version.
Designer
Commentary
This is a game of strategy in it's purest form. The "Worthing Saga" by Orson Scott Card references an elite strategic game, where players make a move only to go back to sleep for years as the game progresses over the course of hundreds of years. I see Contingency as similar concept, in that it is highly strategic, and you can make your moves and come back to the game when you feel like it.
Programmer Commentary
I love playing world domination games, and I've been fairly addicted to one called Big Blitz on my phone for the last couple of years. I thought it would be great to do a flash version, and I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I think you will.
